Italian PRT distributed 24,000 ornamental saplings for farmers of Kohsan and Ghorian districts and also for Herat city.

Inauguration of Health Clinic by Italian PRT in Kushk Rabot Sangee District of Herat Province

Herat, February the 07th 2010

Yesterday at 00:30 PM, took place the opening ceremony of one between the many projects that Italian PRT realized in Herat’s province.
The PRT took up the project for a Basic Health Center in the village of Yeka Darakht in Koshke Rabat Sangi., requested by the local authorities, in this instance by the Director of PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT, in order to improve an area where same health facilities exist but unsuitable and insufficient (Chahar Dara Health Clinic). An aspect of this planning is the care of the orientation of the building, according to the local dispositions and traditions. For this purpose, the Basic Health Center makes good use of the limitations involved by the arrangement by separating the rooms along a central corridor, that connect the main entrance with the area open to the public (Waiting room, Registration, Administration, toilet) and the area for the medical services (Health Nutrition, Vaccination, Examination and Mother Care, Delivery Room, Sterilization Room, Pharmacia and Storage).
The project, that has a cost of € 71.551, was constituted by a structure made up of pillars and beams in reinforced concrete and walls of solid baked bricks of the traditional local type. The inner side will be coated with plaster so as to be proper for the purpose. The foundations are made up of plinths in reinforced concrete and continuous stonewalls below the beams connecting the pillars. The roofing belongs to the flat type in reinforced concrete. The ceiling is 3.20 metres above the floor in all the rooms except for the area near the main entrance, for those the ceiling is 4.50 metres above the floor.
The health center has one well for drinking water and an external volume for the latrines provided with a sewage system. As there is no urban drainage system to connect to, the solution proposed, in conformity with the local system normally used, is a tank to be periodically emptied (septic tank).Moreover, considering that the site is not provide with a sewers to connect the system of septic tank, the local systems normally in use seems to be the best solution: it consist in a close big septic tank that will be drain with a defined periodicity. The complex is completed, besides the main building, by other two volumes, one for the caretaker and other for the electric generator and the main switch board. The PRT took up the project for a 10 classroom school in Khelvak village – Koshe Rabat Sangi District, requested by the local authorities, in this instance by the Director of Herat Education Department, in order to improve the poor number of educational infrastructures nowadays present into the District. The project, that has a cost of € 122.943, was constituted by to a quadrangular plan building on one floor levels of 800 sqm, according the standard typology imposed by the Education Ministry.The classroom are developed along a central corridor, to simplify route and, eventually, building new classroom for students increase.All around is build up a brick masonry surrounding wall with inside playground, latrine building, generator rooms and external sewage system.

The inner sides will be coated with plaster, so as to be proper for the purpose. Realization of Security System by Italian PRT in Herat Jail

Herat, January the 29th 2010.

Today at 11:30 AM, took place the ceremony of one between the many projects that Italian PRT is realizing in Herat’s province. The CIMIC CENTER, within the “PRAESIDIUM” Operation in HERAT – AFGHANISTAN, was requested to take up the project by the Local Authorities, in particular by the GENERAL director of Western Jails Gen. Alhaj Abdul Majeed Sadiqi, in order to realize a new security system for external and internal female and male Herat Jails.
The realization of new security system for Herat Jail is a part a wider project aimed to reorganize of the Ministry of Justice compound where Herat Provincial Jails are located. To carry out this project, the Italian PRT has just built a detention house for young people, (Juvenile Correctional Center), twenty Lodgings for Jail employee’s families, a Female Correctional Center, and has refurbished two existing buildings for the rehabilitation of drug addictioned prisoners In detail the project, that has a cost of 36.900 Euro, is constituted by following works. The new electric line will be connected to the existing main electric one; the main line and the secondary line (to each pole) are quite totally external and protected by pipes of rigid and strong material with rigid rings. The new security system is based on digital technology and the main line is composed by optical fibre. From the cameras (type fixed, with night visor and led infrared) the data arrive to control room across the optical line passing from the Rack box to the servers and are checked and stored.Control room is into the director’s office room (in front of the Male Jail), like recommended by the Local Authority; the room will be built on the upper floor.The Italian Representation was composed by the PRT Commander, Col. Claudio Dei, the CIMIC.C Commander, Lt. Col. Fabrizio Zacchè and MsORRICO, ISAF HQ POLAD.

The PRT took up the project for a 10 classroom school in Niswan village – Shindand district, requested by the local authorities, in this instance by the Director of Herat Education Department, in order to improve the poor number of educational infrastructures nowadays present into the District. The project, that has a cost of € 111.495, was constituted by a quadrangular plan building on one floor levels, according the standard typology imposed by the Education Ministry.All around is build up a brick masonry surrounding wall with inside playground, latrine building, generator rooms and external sewage system.

Local Authorities, constituted by Mr. Ghulam Hzarat TANHA Chief of Herat’s Education Department, Mr. TIMORI Chief of Public Works, Brig.Gen. Asmatullah ALIZAI Chief of Provincial ANP, Mr. Lal Mohammad OMARZAI, the Governor of Shindand District and many others have shown, as ever, their appreciation and have thanked Italian PRT for the extraordinary contribution to their Country’s reconstruction, with truly and deep appreciation words for Italian military’s operate in cooperation activities. From March 2009 PRT has started 8 projects in Education sector most of which are still on going for a total amount of € 791.377. Until now PRT has completed the realization of a 8 classroom school at Niswan Nang Abad – GHORYAN District, a 8 classroom school at Zahkani in GULRAN District, a 8 classroom school at Shah Abad in Pashtoon Zarghon and the Hall in the Herat central library to exhibit sculptures and pictures; moreover PRT performed the renovation of an existing, old female school: the KHOJA MOHAMAD KANJANI High School in Siawashan – GUZHARA District in joint cooperation with “Cooperazione Italiana” that supplied with school equipment and other material for the schoolboys. Altogether from year 2005 up today the Italian PRT has realized 37 new schools and has delivered equipment, for example chairs, table and teacher’s table, and other material necessary for children’s lessons. In 2010 the PRT is going to realize and refurbish 6 schools in various districts more a building for the Education Department in Herat for a total amount of € 1.054.000

تیم پی آر تی ایتالیا مقداری اجناس ,وشاکی و مواد غذایی ا به هزینه حدود هشت هزار یورو به دفتر ندایی زن درولایت هرات کمک نمود .

کمک های مذکور شامل اجناس زمستانی از قبیل بخاری , کمپل و مقداری لوازم پوشاک و خوارکه است که از سوی دفتر ندای زن به زنان بی بضاعت این ولایت کمک می شود .

ثریا پاکزاد مسول دفتر ندای زن در هرات می گوید : این کمک ها از هزینه شخصی کارمندان بخش سیمیک پی آر تی است که به منظور کمک به زنان بی بضاعت از طریق دفتر ندای زن کمک گردیده است .
خانم پاکزاد میگوید : این کمک ها به آنعده از زنانی داده می شود که مورد خشونت خانواده گی قرار گرفته اند .

مسولین بخش سیمیک پی آر تی مقداری از این لوازم را به چندتن از زنان بی بضاعت اهدا کرده و قول کمک های بیشتر برای زنان بی بضاعت ولایت هرات را دادند .

این در حالیست که گفته می شود قوماندان تیم پی آر تی ایتالیا دگروال کلودیو دی به منظور کمک و همکاری به مردم ولسوالی شیندند ولایت هرات امروزبه آن ولسوالی سفر کرده است
